Whether parenthood is a budding idea or you're months into an overwhelming postpartum journey, you might be wondering "what on Earth have I gotten myself into?" And we get it. We've been through it too. It's totally normal to feel this way and it's not going to last forever. At Ampersand Therapy Co., we help new, expecting, and busy parents move through a variety of different parenthood-related challenges to feel like themselves again. We investigate the root causes behind your concerns and form goal-based plans to make long-term, positive change a reality.

A personalized approach to therapy.

Therapy is chock-full of fancy jargon. But the thing is, what works for one person may or may not work for you. We could type up a bunch of psychology speak here, but the explanation most reflective of what we do is actually pretty simple. We believe in personalized therapy that is both meaningful and effective. It has to begin with you feeling comfortable enough to be vulnerable. We get to know you; you get to know us. Once we've built a trustful foundation, we'll figure out which research-based therapy method is most aligned to make a tangible impact in your life.

  • Is person-centered, trauma informed, and strengths based.

  • Draws from several modalities including somatic, cognitive behavioral (CBT), acceptance & commitment therapy (ACT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).

  • Most importantly: will never put you in a box that you don't fit in.

Anne Miller

LCSW, PMHC, therapist and Ampersand Therapy Co. founder

Hi! I'm Anne. I'm a licensed social worker and therapist specializing in postpartum and perinatal mental health. After over 20 years of professional experience working with individuals and families in human service organizations, education, and healthcare, I founded Ampersand Therapy Co. I'm direct and collaborative – I love to talk through the process together so you know exactly where we're at and where we're going. Whether we work together for 3 months or multiple years, I want you to feel confident that our time together has provided lifelong tools to make a difference.
